The Newfoundland Pony is now on "Facebook"

Thursday, April 3, 2008

The NPS has created a "Facebook" group called the "Newfoundland Pony Society". The Facebook website allows people to communicate, or interact with other people with similar interests thru discussion, e-mail , photos or videos thru groups (such as the Newfoundland Pony Society). Once a person is registered on facebook, they can search out their interests (thru these groups).

To register go to Facebook.com and enter register you e-mail and a private password. (They will ask some more questions, but if your like me, I only fill in the ones that I have to because I still value my privacy and security. You don't even have to post a picture of yourself if you don't want to) Once you have your own site (called a profile), it may ask you to find friends. You don't have to if you don't want to. (Remember people can only go onto your own site If you invite/accept them in as a friend! therefore only your friends can see your own information so be careful who is your friend.). Then click on groups and search "Newfoundland Pony Society". You may or may want to join the group. If you join then other members can contact thru the e-mail (unless you chose to block it), you can post pictures of you own pony or look at other people's pictures, write on the bulletin board, etc.). Good luck & have fun with Facebook.
